Microsoft Announces Internet Explorer Replacement
Microsoft officially announced today at Build 2015 that the new Windows 10 browser would be called Microsoft Edge.
Microsoft Edge will be a clean, minimalistic browser with few to no icons or menus, which will slow page speed. It will also incorporate Microsoft’s voice assistant, Cortana.
In the last five years, Internet Explorer has become one of the more frustrating, slow and outdated browsers available. Many users have switched to Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome by now, but this latest announcement is a hopeful sign for the future of Microsoft’s web browser capabilities.
The new browser will be shipping with Windows 10 when it is launched later in 2015.
