Changing your passwords on a regular basis is a best practice for businesses, but when a security threat arises, it is an immediate need. Here is a list of places that businesses should change their passwords immediately if they partake online:
- Google – including Gmail, YouTube and Google+
- Amazon
- GoDaddy
- Flickr
- Dropbox
- Yahoo
- Tumblr
- Etsy
- and more…For the full list of sites regarding the bug, read The Heartbleed Hit List on Mashable.
If you have not changed your password to your website or blog recently, this is the perfect time to do that even though WordPress and other website platforms have not been released as being compromised…yet. Implementing an annual password overhaul is the best way to keep your company and staff secure online. Doing it quarterly is an even better standard but not always a practical option.
