6 Things to Work On While Enjoying the Outdoors
Summer is flying by and all of us are trying to soak up as much sun as we can. A lot of our daily work requirements must be completed indoors, but online marketing tasks can most often be done in the sunshine or under a shady tree. So, the next time you’re able to escape to the great outdoors, grab your lap top and tackle these 6 online marketing “to dos” that will help boost your online presence and your business:
- Review your online directories
Check out customer/client reviews about your business and services. Add new pictures to your Google Business Page. Respond to positive and negative reviews. Send a note a client and request they write a review.
- Read and respond to articles
Look for content relevant to what your prospects and clients are looking for on LinkedIn. Respond to the article and share with your network.
- Write a blog or two, or three
Publish them on your website, LinkedIn and Facebook (if appropriate) twice a week or at a minimum of once a week. Drive reader traffic through an eBlast, ask employees to share the link on their LinkedIn and request that they also create calls to action in an engaging way on their Facebook pages.
- Touch base
Make a phone call or send a quick email or LinkedIn message to a business contact with whom you’ve been out of touch with for longer than 30 days.
- Swap out LinkedIn and/or Facebook images
This will freshen thing up. Also, research the latest trending #hashtag and write a position statement on your social media pages.
- Request LinkedIn recommendations
Think of this as online word of mouth for referrals. People are typically more than willing to make recommendations and it’s a good and easy way to open your door to new clients.
Make the most of your time in the great outdoors by dipping into your online marketing between dips in the pool!
