Gene Love Plumbing, Air & Electrical
C.E.L. serves as the in-house marketing and public relations department for Gene Love Plumbing, Air & Electrical in Columbia, South Carolina, working in tandem with a member of the Gene Love staff.
From landing owner Tammy Ferris on the cover of Lexington Woman Magazine to creating attention getting print ads and direct mail pieces, we’ve helped Gene Love enhance their position in the Columbia marketplace. We also named and launched the Love to Give campaign, attracting new customers to the Gene Love website to make nominations, resulting in a donation of $1,000 to a local Columbia charity each month.
Gene Love has been setting the standard in new plumbing technology, but hasn’t bragged about their innovation. C.E.L. knew that geothermal technology would be of interest to the media, especially environmental reporters who would be drawn to the green aspects of this technology that draws energy from the earth to heat and cool homes.
We invited The State newspaper into the home of a Gene Love customer to witness the installation of a geothermal system. They interviewed Gene Love’s utility and comfort consultant about the process and the homeowner who was looking forward to saving energy and money.
The article appeared on the front page of the business section of The State and once the story hit, calls came pouring into Gene Love, resulting in more than $60,000 of new geothermal business.
In addition:
•$20,000 was generated in trenchless pipe bursting business from television news coverage
•$30,000 was generated in one month from a plumbing direct mail and coupon campaign
With marketing off her plate, owner Tammy Ferris is able to focus on running her business and managing her employees.
